Privacy Policy Summary
Effective date: June 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to FabProfit System, Metal Fabrication Power Tools, and related websites, forms, reports, calculators, downloads, spreadsheets, templates, courses, implementation assets, email communication, checkout pages, and company license inquiries operated by Greg Sheldon.
1. Who We Are
In this Privacy Policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Greg Sheldon operating under the brand Metal Fabrication Power Tools and FabProfit System.
FabProfit System provides education, estimating frameworks, calculators, spreadsheets, templates, report tools, quote language, implementation support, and company license resources for fabrication businesses.
2. What This Policy Covers
This policy covers information collected when you:
- visit the FabProfit System website or related pages;
- use the baseline efficiency calculator or report page;
- submit a form, opt in for a report, request a company license discussion, or send an email;
- purchase, license, access, or download FabProfit materials;
- communicate about implementation, support, account access, billing, or product questions.
This policy does not control the privacy practices of outside websites, payment processors, email providers, course platforms, analytics tools, hosting providers, or other third-party services.
3. Information We Collect
The information collected depends on how you use the site and services.
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Business contact information | Name, email address, company name, role, phone number if provided, and communication preferences. |
| Company and calculator information | Revenue ranges, quote volume, estimating hours, estimator count, revision rate, field-work exposure, outsourced spend, bad-job losses, maturity answers, biggest estimating problem, and other information entered into the calculator or report form. |
| Purchase and license information | Product purchased or licensed, payment status, invoice details, access level, company license scope, team seats, support requests, and customer service notes. |
| Email and inquiry content | Messages, attachments, quote questions, implementation details, support information, and any files or documents you choose to send. |
| Website and device information | Browser type, device type, general usage data, pages visited, referral source, approximate location derived from technical data, IP address, and similar technical information collected through hosting, analytics, security, or website tools. |
4. Calculator And Report Data
The FabProfit Baseline Efficiency Calculator is designed to generate a planning report based on information you enter. The report may include modeled exposure, estimating hours, known-loss floor, process maturity score, recoverable value, and payback-style calculations.
The calculator may store information in your browser through sessionStorage or localStorage so the report page can display your numbers. It may also pass report information to the report page through a browser URL hash. A URL hash is normally not sent to the web server by the browser, but it can still be visible to anyone who has access to your browser, device, screenshots, or copied report link.
If an opt-in form, CRM, email platform, automation, or endpoint is connected, information submitted through the form may also be sent to that service so the report can be delivered, saved, followed up on, or used for a company license discussion.
5. How We Use Information
Information may be used to:
- provide the website, calculator, report, downloads, tools, templates, and course access;
- respond to emails, questions, support requests, license inquiries, and implementation discussions;
- send requested reports, product information, updates, onboarding instructions, invoices, and customer service messages;
- operate, improve, test, and troubleshoot the website, calculator, report pages, products, and customer experience;
- manage purchases, company licenses, account access, billing, taxes, accounting, refunds, chargebacks, fraud prevention, and security;
- protect intellectual property, enforce Terms and Conditions, and prevent unauthorized duplication, sharing, resale, abuse, or misuse;
- send marketing or follow-up messages where permitted by law or with your consent, with the ability to unsubscribe where required.
6. Cookies And Browser Storage
The website may use cookies, browser storage, pixels, analytics scripts, hosting logs, form tools, and similar technologies to operate the site, remember report data, measure performance, improve content, protect security, and understand how visitors use the page.
You can control many cookies through your browser settings. You can also clear localStorage or sessionStorage through your browser if you want to remove calculator or report data stored on your device.
Some features may not work correctly if cookies, scripts, or browser storage are blocked.
7. Payments And Checkout
Payments, invoices, checkout pages, subscriptions, and company license payments may be processed by third-party payment or checkout providers. We may receive confirmation of payment, order details, billing name, email, company name, payment status, tax information, invoice details, and similar transaction records.
We do not need to directly receive or store full credit card numbers. Payment details are generally handled by the payment processor according to that provider’s own terms, privacy policy, and security practices.
9. Retention
Information may be kept as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including product access, customer support, license management, accounting, tax records, dispute handling, chargeback defense, legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, intellectual-property protection, and business records.
Browser-stored calculator data may remain on your own device until you clear it or the browser removes it.
10. Security
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures are used to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no website, email system, payment platform, browser storage, or internet transmission is guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
You are responsible for protecting your own devices, passwords, downloaded files, spreadsheet tools, report links, and internal company data.
11. Your Choices And Rights
Depending on your location and applicable privacy law, you may have the right to request access to personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, or information about how your data is used.
You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link if one is provided, or by contacting us directly.
To make a request, email gregwsheldon@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, tax, security, chargeback, fraud-prevention, contract, or intellectual-property reasons.
12. International Users
FabProfit System may be accessed by users in Canada, the United States, and other countries. Information may be processed or stored in countries other than where you live, depending on the hosting, payment, email, analytics, course, and business service providers used.
By using the website, submitting information, purchasing products, or communicating with us, you understand that information may be processed across borders according to this policy and the policies of relevant service providers.
13. Children
FabProfit System is intended for business users, fabrication companies, estimators, executives, owners, managers, and professional teams. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so the issue can be reviewed.
14. Changes To This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the website, calculator, reports, products, downloads, or services after an update may be treated as acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
